The Magic Jukebox 2009, San Jose

The Magic Jukebox, a musical presentation of Reed School in San Jose, debuted on Tuesday evening, Dec. 15, 2009. The kids found an old jukebox, which took them on a historical journey of songs from various decades of the past. The children, ranging in grades from 2nd to 5th, sang and danced their way to the tunes that included "It Ain't Mean a Thing (If It Don't Got That Swing)", "Sing, Sing, Sing", "You're Ain't Nothin' But a Hounddog" and "Dancin' in the Streets".

What an amazing production! Yes, these youngsters really did learn how to swing. From the many handoffs of spoken lines, to the intricate dance choreography, this was a true fete. Kudos to the kids along with all of those who planned and pulled off this musical. A great time was had by all.
